Cracks

The Japanese have a way of thinking which I have adopted.
When a piece
of pottery is broken, they mend it with precious metals.
The crack becomes
a part of the beauty of the piece.
The imperfection is not hidden, it is
celebrated.
A unique item. In our society we are taught to hide the cracks,
the bumps and knocks. If we cannot see them, maybe they do not exist?
I like imperfection, I want to be fallible.
But most of all I like unique.
My
life is different to yours, my struggle, and my thoughts. Being broken, and
fixed should be our strength, not our weakness. Never throw away
something just because it was once broken.
